The Ambassador
Amb. Skender Xhakaliu
Amb. Skender Xhakaliu has been the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to the Federal Republic of Germany since June 2012. Amb. Xhakaliu studied economics and health management in Pristina, Germany and in England.
In the past he held various senior positions in the health sector in Germany and the United Kingdom and worked for the relief organization "Cap Anamur" as coordinator for the Balkan region. Amb. Xhakaliu was Political Advisor to the Minister of Education, Science and Technology and as General Secretary of the Ministry of State. Before joining the diplomatic service of the Republic of Kosovo, he served as an expert for the support of education reform through the "EU Education Services" - project in the liaison office of the European Union in Pristina.
Besides his native Albanian, Amb. Xhakaliu is fluent in German, English and Serbo-Croatian.
