The Ambassador
Amb. Isabel Frommelt-Gottschald
Isabel Frommelt-Gottschald was born on the 2nd of September, 1974, is married with two children and has been serving the Principality of Liechtenstein as Ambassador to Germany since 2017.
Frommelt-Gottschald studied Business and Politics at the University of Bern in Switzerland. Afterwards she did her Masters in Sociology with a specialization in Human Rights also at the University of Bern which she completed in 2001. After her graduation she worked as a research assistant at various institutes before leading the project “Sozialstaat” within the Government of Liechtenstein in 2004. Between 2005 and 2007 she worked as Second Secretary of the permanent representative of Liechtenstein to the United Nations in Geneva. In 2008 she was appointed First Secretary at the Foreign Ministry of Liechtenstein. While holding this position Frommelt-Gottschald also completed an Executive Master in EU and International Business Law at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. In 2012 she began working as a consultant for Security and Human Rights for the Government of Liechtenstein. In 2017 Frommelt Gottschald was appointed Ambassador of the Principality of Liechtenstein to the Federal Republic of Germany.
History
The Embassy of the Principality of Liechtenstein in Berlin is one of the country’s eight diplomatic representations around the world, including three others in Germany in Frankfurt and Munich. The Embassy of Liechtenstein in Berlin supports German citizens through its consular services, if they need information about the country. It also supports Liechtenstein Citizens when in Berlin or elsewhere in Germany through its consular services.
