Amb. Patricia Espinosa Cantellano is the Permanent Represent in the Embassy of Mexico in Berlin, Germany. She presented her credentials on June 9th, 2013.

Amb. Cantellano studied at the "German School Alexander von Humboldt", in Mexico City. Later, she studied International Relations in Mexico City. She studies International Law at the "Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies", in Geneva, Italy.

In the 1981 she entered into the foreign services in Mexico. Later, in 2000, she was appointed as ambassador. From 1981-1982 she worked as General Officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mexico. Subsequently, from 1989 to 1991, she worked as Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Foreign Relations of Foreign Affairs in Mexico. From 1991 to 1993, she was the Head of the International Unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Organizations in Mexico. It was then, from the1993 until 1997, when she began working in the Permanent Mission of Mexico to the United Nations, New York. She was in charge of the Third Committee of the General Assembly of the UN: drug trafficking, human rights, social development, advancement of women, the promotion and protection of the rights of children. From 1997 to 2001, she was Director General of regional organizations and inter-American mechanisms for Foreign Affairs Ministry in Mexico.

From 2001 to 2002 she was Ambassador to Germany. From 2002 until 2006, she began working as Mexico's ambassador to Austria, addition of accreditation in Slovenia and Slovakia as well as Permanent Representative of Mexico to International Organizations in Vienna. From November 2006 until December 2012, she was the Chancellor of Mexico. From the November 29th, 2010 until November 28th, 2011 she was the President of the 16th Conference of the Parties to the Framework Convention of the United Nations on Climate Change (COP 16) and the 6th Conference of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP 6). In 2012, under the Mexican Presidency of the G20 Foreign, Amb. Espinosa worked in close collaboration with the Ministry of Finance. Since December 2012, she was Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She speaks German and English language in a fluid level. She also speaks French.
