June 04th, 2024A primary goal of the 4th Meeting of the Brazilian Diaspora for Science On June 7, 2024, at 14:30 CEST (09:30 BRT), the Brazilian Embassy in Berlin will host the fourth meeting of the Brazilian Diaspora of Science and Innovation in Germany. This significant event is organized in collaboration with the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), the Getúlio Vargas Foundation Europe (FGV Europe), and the Apoena Network. The gathering is dedicated to Brazilians working companies, universities, throughout Germany.
The event's comprehensive program features presentations from the Apoena Network and FGV Europe, as well as insights from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) regarding the "Knowledge Brazil" talent return program. Additionally, the MCTI will share updates on Brazil's artificial intelligence strategy. Attendees can look and Innovation is to foster ongoing dialogue about the diaspora, facilitate networking and research institutes as researchers, developers, and postgraduate students in among researchers, and strengthen connections with Brazil. The first three meetings, held from 2021 to 2023, each attracted over 500 participants, both in person and online, highlighting the vibrant and engaged Brazilian scientific community in Germany.
This year's meeting will adopt a hybrid format, allowing participants to join either in person at the embassy or virtually via Zoom.
Following the event at the embassy, attendees are invited to the 3rd National Meeting of the Apoena Network in Berlin, which will commence at 18:30 CEST at the James June beer garden. This informal gathering will provide a relaxed setting for further networking and discussion.
