September 12th, 2014
News from Berlin – The same question comes up by September each year; which to choose: the International Literature Festival or Berlin Art Week? If one’s choice is the latter this year, he can become familiar with Hungarian talents devoting their time to producing animation films. Between the 19th and the 21st of September at the Hungarian Cultural Institute everybody is welcome to get an insight into Central European film art.
On the occasion of the Berlin Art Week, taking place between the 16th and 21st of September, the Collegium Hungaricum Berlin (Hungarian Cultural Institute), in collaboration with Gallery MOMENTUM Worldwide, is dedicated to the promotion of talented young video artists. To fulfill this mission, a screening evening on the media facade of the Collegium Hungaricum (Friday-Sunday, 19-24h) shows a selection of young Hungarian animation video artists: János Brückner, László Csáki, Danila Kost, Attila Stark; as well as the program “A Time for Dreams”, with selected videos from the 4th Moscow International Biennale for Young Art.
Inside of the institute, other works of László Csáki and the Chinese artist Xu Zhen will be presented. In addition to the video and performance works of Zhen, a panel discussion between Chris Moore and David Elliot will take place on Sunday at 5 PM in the Panorama Room.
