62 Years: One Love to the World
A celebration in Berlin of the 62nd anniversary of Jamaica’s independence

In 2024, Jamaica marks 62 years of independence. The occasions was celebrated with special festivities in Berlin.
On the 6th of August, 1962 the Caribbean island of Jamaica gained its independence from the United Kingdom.
This year, the occasion is celebrated by Jamaican communities worldwide under the slogan “62 years: One Love to the World”.
In Berlin, the Embassy of Jamaica invited members of the diplomatic corps, friends of Jamaica from across Continental Europe and other special guests to celebrate alongside the Jamaican diaspora in Berlin.
There was a rich program with official remarks, live music and traditional cuisine.
