Mr Mulongoti’s delegation included Zambia’s Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany Mrs Winnie Chibesakunda, Director at the Ministry of Agriculture Mr Peter Zulu, Project Manager, Agriculture and Food Security Cluster (Germany International Cooperation Society- GIZ Zambia ) Ms. Elina Weber and Mr Chitonge Mushota, First Secretary Trade at the Zambian Embassy in Berlin.

Every year, during International Green Week (IGW), the international conference Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) takes place in Berlin. Key concerns for the future of global agriculture and food policy are discussed. The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) organises the GFFA in collaboration with Messe Berlin GmbH. Experts from industry, politics, science, and civil society from across the world gather for the five-day meeting to discuss and come to consensus on global agricultural policy and food security concerns and challenges.

Mr. Mulongoti also participated in a panel discussion on “Bio Economy and Transformation of Agriculture and Food System”, presenting Zambia’s initiatives in promoting sustainable agriculture. Mr. Mulongoti indicated that the Zambian government anticipates improved investment potential stemming from the relationships formed at the event.

The delegation additionally had meetings with the commercial sector, including the German Africa Agribusiness Alliance, Bayer, and Amatheon Agric, to discuss prospective investments in Zambia's agriculture industry.
