The Nordic Film Music Days 2025 at Nordische Botschaften in Berlin will celebrate Nordic craftsmanship and Nordic cinema at its best from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. The program includes screenings of five films whose music is nominated for the HARPA Nordic Film Composers Award on Sunday, an extensive program on Saturday, and, for the first time, the Baltic Nights.

On Saturday, "women in film composing" section will take place, divided into an informal meeting and a seminar, as part of the Nordic FIlm Music Days 2025.

This initiative collaborates with the Alliance for Women Film Composers (AWFC) to provide opportunities and promote relationships for composers.

The casual networking event “women in film composing” gathers together female film composers to discuss their experiences, make contacts, and enhance their professional networks. The event promotes open discussion on important themes including gender diversity in the film business, teamwork, and cross-cultural creativity. Attendees will learn how to cooperate, co-create, and grow their worldwide networks through small group discussions and networking opportunities. The event will close with a collaborative assessment on important insights and ideas for future collaboration, with the goal of supporting long-term growth and support in the sector.

The seminar “Diversity in the future of film music - gender challenges and how to overcome them” explores gender diversity in cinema music, including the problems faced by female composers and ways for all artists to overcome them and gain new insights. Panellists Sandrine Rudaz (USA/CH/France), Tina Pepper (Germany), Ragnar Berthling (Sweden), and Alexandra Petkovski (Canada/USA) will discuss industry growth in the United States and Europe. They will talk about practical approaches to effect change, such as cooperation, mentoring, and crucial resources like workshops.
