News from Berlin – In the Prenzlauer Berg district every Sunday the Mauerpark becomes very busy with many people coming to enjoy the various activities that it has on offer. There are many tourists as well as residents of Berlin drift to Mauerpark on a Sunday. It is a common meeting place where flea market takes place and people can find many interesting things to buy as well as to barter with the seller to achieve a more affordable price. Many vintage clothes, shoes, CD’s and a lot more are on sale as well as the  many stands with various foods and drinks available to people. There is a roughly 300-meter-long section of the inner wall, which runs along the back of the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Stadion. The inner wall is unusually high and massive because of the many people visiting the stadium, the home of the soccer team Dynamo Berlin. People interested in street art come to Mauerpark in order to practice their painting skills on the graffiti walls.

The popularity of the flea market at Mauerpark partly stems from the karaoke sessions that take place at the amphitheatre every Sunday afternoon. From spring until autumn the place is packed with a crowd of curious people even before it starts at 15:00 in the afternoon. So, everyone interested to see the music spectacle organized by Irish Gareth Lennon should step by early.

Mauerpark is a great place to relax and spend a nice time with friends. There is always something interesting going on - a place where people can listen to and watch performances by many street musicians or comedians who practice and showcase their talents there.
