“Warsaw Uprising 1944” Exhibition at the Topography of Terror in Berlin

The Embassy of Poland invites everyone to the exhibition commemorating the Warsaw Uprising in 1944

On July 27, 2019, the Ambassador of Poland Dr Przyłębski together with the representatives of the Berlin Documentation Center opened the exhibition “Warschauer Aufstand. Powstanie Warszawskie 1944” at the Topography of Terror in Berlin.

Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Germany, prof. Andrzej Przyłębski together with a managing director of the Topography of Terror Foundation, prof. Andreas Nachama, director of the Warsaw Uprising Museum, Dr. Jan Ołdakowski and former Warsaw Insurgents, Leszek Żukowski and Jan Rybak, opened the exhibition Warschauer Aufstand. Powstanie Warszawskie 1944” at the Documentation Center of the Topography of Terror in Berlin.

The opening of the exhibition was accompanied by a debate titled “75 lat temu: Powstanie Warszawskie 1944. Pamięć w Polsce i w Niemczech.”

Residents of the German capital and tourists can get acquainted with the genesis, course and tragic consequences of the struggle of the Home Army and other independence groups for the freedom and independence of Poland. The exhibition, under the patronage of the presidents of Poland and Germany, Andrzej Duda and Frank-Walter Steinmeier, will run until October 13, 2019.
