On October 20, 2024, Berlin hosted the Nasreddin Festival at Zehlendorf City Hall, an event aimed at showcasing the cultural richness of Central Asia, Azerbaijan, Iran, and Pakistan. The festival was organized by German Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the embassies of participating countries in collaboration with the "Cultur-Cooperation Int. e.V". With the character of Nasreddin being in the centre of the event, it provided a platform for fostering cross-cultural dialogue and mutual understanding between the participating nations and Germany.

The festival brought together a variety of participants, including high-ranking German officials and diplomatic representatives from the participating countries. Key figures such as Jens Wagner from Germany’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maren Schellenberg, the mayor of the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district, and Sandra Halatbari, a member of the CDU parliamentary group on education, delivered speeches emphasizing the importance of such cultural events in building stronger international ties.

The Uzbek delegation stood out with a performance of the play "Nasreddin in Bukhara," along with a song by the group "Yalla" and traditional Uzbek folk dances. Uzbekistan’s booth featured national costumes, crafts, and silk fabrics, giving guests a deeper insight into the country’s heritage. This event underlined the significance of cultural exchanges in strengthening bilateral relations and promoting shared understanding among nations.
