US AMBASSADOR HOSTS A RECEPTION IN CELEBRATION OF IFTAR

In celebration of Iftar, Ambassador Gutmann hosted representatives from the German Muslim community, diplomats from Muslim-majority countries, Bundestag members and German officials, those active in the interfaith dialogue, NGOs working on migration and integration issues, and alumni of embassy exchange programs at her home.
Germanys biggest TikToker Younes Zarou was in attendance, as well as Malakeh Jazmati, renowned as ‘the Queen of Syrian cooking’.
Ambassador Gutmann held a speech, stating: “Faith can bring people together. In the spirit of Ramadan, let us recommit ourselves to the timeless work of building peace and standing up for the rights and dignity of all people.”
