Upcoming Panel Discussion on German-Azerbaijani Relations

The panel is entitled, “101 years of ADR – 100 years of Azerbaijani foreign policy”

S.E. Ramin Hasanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Germany will be present at this event. The event is hosted by the Endowed Chair “History of Azerbaijan,” Department of History at Humboldt University in Berlin, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

S.E. Ramin Hasanov, possibly along with Mr. Michael Siebert (Head of the Department for Central Asia and the South Caucasus in the Foreign Office) —as his presence has been requested—will open the event with a welcome speech. After, Professor Eva-Maria Auch, endowed chair of the History of Azerbaijan at Humboldt University, will provide the introduction for the scope of the discussion.

The main feature of this event is the podium discussion on the current foreign policy of Azerbaijan and German-Azerbaijani relations. The panel will include S.E. Ramin Hasanov, Mr. Michael Siebert (presence has been requested), Professor Udo Steinbach, Director of the Orientinstitut Hamburg, and Kai Franke, Head of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Capital Office. The moderator will be Dr. Birgit Wetzel, certified journalist for Caucasus and Central Asia.

The event will be held at Humboldt University in Berlin, room 5009 (Berlin Friedrichstrasse 191 – 193) on July 5, 2019 from 17:00 to 19:00.
