Erik Magdanz works at the U.S. Department of State as a Diplomat for Energy, Transportation and Energy Policy and is stationed in Berlin. At the U.S. Embassy in Berlin he will offer an insight into the life of a successful entrepreneur and investment banker.

On December 2nd, Erik Magdanz will be speaking at the U.S. Embassy in Berlin. Magdanz is a U.S. diplomat and was a very successful entrepreneur and investment banker. He founded two startups in Silicon Valley and later launched one in Europe, providing useful experience and insights into the European business environment for young companies.

Erik Magdanz has spent over 3 years as an investment banker and managed over 20 private capital investment funds, 15 public offerings and 10 mergers in the high technology and Internet sectors. At the event he will share his insights about being an entrepreneur, how to create successful startups, as well as what investors look for in newly launched startups. His interactive presentation will also be live streamed to American Space in Leipzig in order to reach bigger audience.

As Berlin is a number one playground for startups, where a new startup is founded every 20 minutes, these kinds of events are of particular interest. The Local reports that the startup industry is set to produce 100,000 new jobs by 2020.

The presentation is open to the public and admission is free.
