The USA Embassy assists to the Pride parade, supporting the cause and fighting for the basic and fundamental principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights- freedom and respect for human dignity.

Ambassador Grenell and Matt Lashey were joined by Embassy staff, friends, and activists from several countries on July 27. The US Embassy of Berlin participated in Christopher Street Day 2019 bringing the bus with a powerful slogan “70+ Countries Outlaw LGBTIQ People #NotACrime.”.  It took place through central Berlin passed through one million people celebrating on the streets, coming from Tiergarten and ending at the Brandenburger Tor during the five-hour pride parade. The important members of the Embassy, alongside the Ambassador, hang out the flags for the cause and to show that the American Embassy was syntonic to the festivity and the glorious crowd.
