Tunisian Vice President Hichem Elloumi Visits Berlin for German-Arab Chamber Meeting

Meeting with Key German Officials Prepares for Economic Mission to Tunisia in November

Mr. Hichem Elloumi, Vice President of the Tunisian Federation for Industry, Trade, and Traditional Industries, visited Berlin on September 9, 2024, to take part in the Board Meeting of the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The event, which brought together key figures from both Germany and the Arab world, provided an important platform for fostering economic collaboration.

During his visit, Mr. Elloumi met with Mr. Olaf Hoffmann, CEO of the German-Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Mr. Abdul Aziz Al-Makhlafi, the Chamber’s Secretary General. They were joined by Dr. Dorothea Schuetz, Director of North Africa and the Middle East from the German Federal Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection. These discussions set the stage for closer economic ties between Tunisia and Germany.

A central topic of the meeting was the upcoming economic mission to Tunisia, scheduled for November 2024. The delegation will include a number of prominent German businessmen and representatives from German government institutions, underscoring the commitment to strengthen trade and industrial partnerships between the two nations. The mission aims to enhance cooperation, promote investment, and explore new opportunities for mutual economic growth.
