The Scandinavian Meetingpoint in Berlin
May 28th, 2014
News from Berlin- Galleri Heike Arndt DK will organize its monthly Scandinavian Meetingpoint Berlin event next Wednesday June 4th in the gallery’s own showroom in Friedrichshain, Berlin. This time the event will include the opening of the ”Fresh Legs 2014” exhibition with ten artists that is an annual exhibition with drawing, street art, illustration, animation and similar fields. The Nordic evening is organized on the first Wednesday of every month (expect for January and August) at 7pm. The event provides the opportunity to socialize with other people from the Nordic countries and Germany in a cozy environment as well as enjoy an occasional evening’s program, such as an exhibition tour, a short film or a lecture. Therefore one can, for instance, experience Nordic and German art, receive guidance in relation to art, get advice in looking for a job and accommodation as well as talk in one’s own native language.
The Scandinavian Meetingpoint is a non-commercial, informal and non-committal platform, where the participants themselves decide the agenda for the evening. As the organizer, Galleri Heike Arndt DK is a Danish gallery established by the Danish/German artist Heike Arndt and with premises in Denmark as well as in Berlin-Friedrichshain since 2008. The gallery endorses an active and dynamic dialogue between the Nordic art scene and the art scene in Berlin often in collaboration with other galleries, museums and cultural institutions.
