14th Open Air Gallery Berlin 2016

The Open Air Gallery dates back to 2003 and since then has only gained more popularity

Summer in Berlin is full of various and exciting events. Every person can find something fitting their interests, film festivals, music festivals, carnivals and many more events. For those who love art, Berlin offers the 14th Open Air Gallery showcase, which will open on the June 5th at 10:00am and go until July 3rd. The exhibition takes place at the Oberbaumbrücke which is the bridge that links the districts Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain.

Artists and sculptures from different countries have a chance to show their work in different forms, and the bridge turns into art zone filled with young talents, professionals and visitors who want to enjoy summer days surrounded with creativity. The Main goal of this event is to help artists to show and promote their work and encourage discussion with spectators. "Open Air Gallery" is the biggest open exhibition in Berlin and has gained popularity over the years and attracts more and more people, but the organizers have kept the original concept and give chance to artists to present their work in different categories, which includes photography, sculptures, paintings, graphics etc. The Exhibition has over 80 000 visitors each year.

Those who are willing to participate can submit their application and board of juries will decide the outcome. The application process is fair and organizers make sure all the applicants are treated equally and respectfully. Visitors also have a chance to be take part in exhibition by drawing or painting on huge 120 meter long canvas which lies across the bridge.
