From Hamburg, as a long-term loan from the Museum am Rothenbaum, a faithful replica of a Moai by artists Ana Ernestina Pont Hill, Jorge Eloi Tuki Pakarati, and Luis Tomás Pate Riroroko has made its way to Berlin.

This accomplishment was the result of extensive coordination by the Embassy of Chile to Germany.

On July 20th, a special ceremony was held in the area dedicated to Chile at the Gärten der Welt to unveil the Moai. The event was attended by Ambassador of Chile to Germany Magdalena Atria, the renowned Rapa Nui pianist Mahani Teave along with Miru Hotu, and the dance groups Pasión Chilena in Berlin and Grupo Chile Berlin.
