The Embassy of Ireland in Vienna recently hosted an exciting St. Patrick's Day Art Competition. They invited participants to submit their artistic interpretations of a mythical creature that best represents Ireland. The competition concluded on March 26, 2024, and received a wonderful array of entries from young artists.

The competition was divided into two age categories, with winners selected after much deliberation by Ambassador O'Leary due to the extremely high standard of entries. Each winner was awarded a copy of "IRELANDOPEDIA" by Fatti and John Burke.
Winners Announced:

  • Ages 4 - 8 years: Mila, aged 8
  • Ages 9 - 12 years: Franziska, aged 10

While only one winner could be chosen in each category, the Embassy believes it is important to showcase all of the entries to highlight the incredible talent of all participants. This exhibition of creativity not only celebrates the winners but also acknowledges the effort and imagination of every young artist who took part.

The Embassy of Ireland in Vienna is proud to foster such creativity and looks forward to future opportunities to engage with the community through art and cultural competitions.
