The Future Perspective for Women as Leaders, What Kind of a Challenge Does this Present for German Women?
Nowadays, the Position of Women is More in the Spotlight, but Still Only Small Steps are Being Made to Improve their Career Chances and Opportunities.
February 15th, 2016On Wednesday 17th February at 18 o´clock the public in Berlin have the possibility to discuss the current role of women in business. The debate is supported by Inforadio and in the frame of the “Forum”. The atmosphere of the topic will be emphasized by the chosen venue - WeiberWirtschaft, Tagungsbereich. It is an office mainly comprised of women who want to improve women’s career positions.
The chef redactor of the economy department in the RBB radio - Ute Holzhey, will be hosting five special guests. All of guests are not only successful women in different branches but also leaders in their work. Another guest present who will be there to express her opinions on the topic is Professor Claudia Gather from the Harriet Taylor Mill Institute HWR Berlin. Also present will be Ms. Annette Farrenkopf, who is working for Agentur33 in Berlin.
The career opportunities for women is not as easy as for men. In many countries men are moving forwards with their career aims and often women are lagging behind. Despite the fact that the importance of women in society is growing, still men are preferred to be the leaders in top positions. Based on this experience, more and more women opt for self-employment and for running their own companies. Regardless of this fact, in many countries women are still seen to be entering men’s territory in the world of business. The discussion will be focused on many aspects of establishing your own business. Answers to questions related to this topic will be given.
