Karl-Heinz Strauss
Karl-Heinz Strauss serves as the Honorary Consul of Singapore in Vienna, Austria. Born on November 27, 1960, he is currently the CEO and Co-Owner of PORR AG, a leading construction company in Austria.
Strauss has a rich educational background in civil engineering and business management. He studied at the Higher Technical College of Civil Engineering in Moedling, Austria, from 1975 to 1980. He furthered his education with programs at prestigious institutions, including Harvard University in 1989, the Management Business School in St. Gallen in 1992, and the Advanced Executive Programme at INSEAD in 1994. He also holds an MBA from IMADEC University in Vienna and Cal State University, Hayward, California, which he completed between 1995 and 1997.
Strauss began his career as a start-up entrepreneur from 1980 to 1983, followed by a role as a Tax Consultant and in Accounting at Confida from 1984 to 1987. He then held various positions at Raiffeisen Zentralbank from 1987 to 2000, where he rose to the Head of Corporate Banking, including roles in the construction and real estate divisions.
In 2000, Strauss founded Strauss & Partner Immobilien GmbH, a real estate development company with projects in Austria, Poland, and Romania. Since 2010, he has been the CEO and Co-Owner of PORR AG, leading the company to significant growth and success.
Karl-Heinz Strauss is married and has one son and one daughter.
