Amb. Slavica Milačić
H.E. Ms. Slavica Milačić is one of the most prominent, respected, and highly decorated career diplomats in the history of Montenegro's foreign service. With a distinguished career spanning decades, she brings unparalleled expertise in international economic relations, European integration, and multilateral statecraft.
Before her strategic deployment to Geneva, Ambassador Milačić held several of the country's most critical diplomatic portfolios. Notably, she served as the Ambassador of Montenegro to the European Union in Brussels, steering the nation through pivotal phases of its accession negotiations. She was also the chief negotiator for Montenegro's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), a monumental milestone for the country's sovereign economic integration. Additionally, her stellar track record includes serving as the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and State Secretary for European Integration. Holding an advanced degree in economics, her deep strategic insight and institutional memory make her an exceptionally authoritative voice in the diplomatic arena.

The Permanent Mission in Geneva acts as Montenegro's primary interface with the UN Human Rights Council, the World Trade Organization (WTO), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Historically, the mission's strategies are centered on leveraging multilateral oversight to strengthen domestic judicial reforms, promoting open and resilient trade frameworks, and advancing environmental human rights. Under Ambassador Milačić’s heavyweight leadership, the mission actively champions the protection of vulnerable groups and media freedoms within the Human Rights Council, while working closely with trade and economic bodies to accelerate sustainable green tourism and economic diversification across the Balkan region.
