Amb. Anne Goedert
H.E. Ms. Anne Goedert is a highly accomplished career diplomat from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. She assumed her high-level duties in Geneva with an exceptional background in international law, humanitarian aid, and global human rights governance.
Before her strategic deployment to Switzerland, Ambassador Goedert served in key leadership capacities within the central ministry in Luxembourg, notably holding the pivotal role of Ambassador-at-Large for Human Rights. In that capacity, she spearheaded Luxembourg's global human rights campaigns, driven by a strong commitment to gender equality, minority protection, and the promotion of a feminist foreign policy. Her previous diplomatic assignments include significant postings within Europe and at multilateral hubs, where she built a stellar reputation for her inclusive negotiation style, precise legal framework coordination, and advocacy for sustainable development financing.
History

The Permanent Mission in Geneva serves as Luxembourg's primary interface with the UN Human Rights Council, the World Health Organization (WHO), and the World Trade Organization (WTO). Historically, the mission's operations are deeply intertwined with Luxembourg’s identity as one of the world's most generous official development assistance (ODA) donors per capita. Under Ambassador Goedert's leadership, the mission focuses intensely on mobilizing innovative and green climate finance, defending the universality of human rights, and promoting global health security. Furthermore, the mission works closely with humanitarian agencies like the UNHCR and ICRC, leveraging Luxembourg's cutting-edge satellite communication technologies to support international emergency and disaster relief operations worldwide.
