H.E. Mr. Akram Sa'ud Harahsheh is a highly accomplished career diplomat from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. He assumed his duties as the Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office at Geneva with a robust professional background centered on multilateral diplomacy, international law, and Middle Eastern geopolitical security.
Before his top-level appointment to Geneva, Ambassador Harahsheh held various significant posts within the Jordanian diplomatic service, including representing his nation in key regional and international forums. His diplomatic expertise is deeply rooted in managing international legal disputes, refugee coordination, and human rights advocacy. Historically, Jordan's diplomacy in Geneva does not focus on economic leverage, but rather on humanitarian advocacy, securing international funding for refugee-hosting communities, and defending international humanitarian law.
