Pablo Berti Oliva
Pablo Berti Oliva is the Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations in Vienna. He presented his credentials on 11 April to Ghada Waly, the Director-General of the United Nations Office in Vienna (UNOV).
Mr. Berti Oliva has a notable career in international relations and diplomacy. He served as Counselor and Senior Specialist in International Relations and Coordinator of the Social Affairs and Human Rights Group at the General Directorate of Multilateral Affairs and International Law, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2018-2022). He was the First Secretary at Cuba's Permanent Mission to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland (2014-2018). His earlier roles include Second Secretary and Third Secretary at the Directorate of Multilateral Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Third Secretary at Cuba's Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.
Mr. Berti Oliva holds a degree in biochemistry from the University of Havana, Cuba.
He is married and has one child.
