Laura Gabriela Gil Savastano

Laura Gabriela Gil Savastano is the Ambassador of Colombia to Austria and the designated non-resident Ambassador to Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic. She also serves as the Permanent Representative to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Vienna, a position she has held since August 1, 2023.

Ambassador Gil is an internationalist deeply committed to the defence of human rights and the incorporation of a transformative gender approach in foreign policy. She has extensive national and international experience in peacekeeping, peacebuilding, and the promotion of democracy.

From 2022 to 2023, Ambassador Gil served as the Vice Minister of Multilateral Affairs. In this role, she was responsible for coordinating and executing Colombia's positions at international organizations and other multilateral forums. Her career reflects a strong dedication to advancing Colombia's international relations and promoting global cooperation on key issues.
