Amb. Laura Sarabia Torres
Laura Sarabia Torres is a Colombian political and public-administration figure with a background in international relations and political science. Before her diplomatic appointment, she held senior posts in the Colombian presidency, including Chief of Staff, and served as Director of the Department for Social Prosperity and Director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency. She also served as Foreign Minister in 2025 and later as Ambassador to the United Kingdom.
History
Bilateral relations between Colombia and the United Kingdom are historic and robust, tracing their roots back to the dawn of South American independence in the early 19th century when British volunteers fought alongside Simón Bolívar. Today, the embassy operates from its long-standing, prestigious chancery in Knightsbridge, sitting directly adjacent to Harrods.
The Embassy of Colombia in London functions as a major operational command post for executing ecological statecraft, green investment mobilization, and international peace support protocols between Bogotá and Whitehall.
