The Ambassador
Amb. HE Mr. Zheng Zeguang
Zheng Zeguang is a senior Chinese career diplomat with extensive experience in relations with North America and Europe. Born in Guangdong in 1963, he studied at South China Normal University and in Cardiff. Before becoming Ambassador to the United Kingdom in 2021, he served as Assistant Foreign Minister and, from 2015 to 2021, as Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The historical architecture of China's diplomatic presence in the UK is exceptionally profound. The iconic Chinese Legation at 49 Portland Place was originally established in 1877 during the Qing Dynasty, making it China’s very first permanent diplomatic mission abroad.
