History
Austria and Chad maintain very friendly bilateral relations. Cooperation has included political dialogue, humanitarian and development issues, and international security. Austria also contributed personnel to the international mission in Chad and the Central African Republic that protected civilians and refugees affected by the conflict in Darfur, strengthening practical contacts between the two countries. Diplomatic relations are managed through Austria's Embassy in Abuja and Chad's Berlin-based mission.
