The Ambassador
Amb. James GABCHE NCHE
James Gabche Nche is a Cameroonian diplomat serving at the Embassy of Cameroon in Berlin, which is accredited to Austria. The current Austrian diplomatic list identifies him as Minister Counsellor rather than Ambassador. He has been associated with Cameroon's diplomatic representation to Austria for many years and supports the mission's bilateral and multilateral work. Detailed official biographical information on his earlier career is not publicly available.
History
Austria and Cameroon maintain friendly and relatively close bilateral relations, particularly in trade and commerce. Austrian companies and technical expertise have contributed to infrastructure, aviation, industrial and power-generation projects in Cameroon, while bilateral trade includes machinery, measuring equipment, metals and wood products. Educational and cultural links include German-language programmes, and political relations are managed through Austria's Embassy in Abuja and Cameroon's Berlin-based mission accredited to Austria.
