The Ambassador
Amb. Nourredine Yazid
H.E. Nourredine Yazid is a career diplomat. He joined the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1988 after he graduated from the National School of Administration in Algiers.
He served as Minister Counsellor at the Embassy of Algeria in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in 2000-2004, then respectively Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to Chile, 2008-2015; to Zimbabwe, 2021-2023; and to the United Kingdom, 2023. In between he was assigned to numerous positions within the Ministry, namely Director for Migration, as well as Director for Latin and the Caribbean; the latest was Director General for Americas 2019-2021.
H.E. Nourredine Yazid was a Member of the Algerian Delegations to many international fora and conferences, including the OAU, the WHO, 5+5, IMO and others.
