The Brazilian Embassy Presents the Band Trio Brasilis in Concert
Carlos Hulsch Gallery, supported by the Argentine Embassy is hosting an exposition in conjunction with a book presentation by the argentine photographer Eduardo Blidner
September 12th, 2016Designed by saxophonist and composer Maria Braganza, on September 1st, the Embassy of Brazil in Berlin presents the concert of the band whose music is a stimulating mix of jazz, choirs and classical music, with a very Brazilian touch.
The Brazilian embassy once again brings us quality music to the German capital, through its monthly cultural program. This time they introduced to us a group composed of Maria Bragança (saxophone), Samy Erick (guitar) and Caxi Rajao (classical guitar).
The Music featured by the band Trio Brasilis, is performed with great skill and rare ability, establishing parallel and reinforcing links between languages, times and geographies. It is a mixture serving an abstract music that transcends borders and styles, thus revealing a mixture of technique and emotion.
Taking the musical production of Brazil in the first half of the twentieth century as a reference, the group's work in this regard reveals, in its origin, a cultural blend of styles that date back to the classical European school, with a strong influence of polka, with dances and ballroom dances of the belle époque and has motives of African culture and native musicality and Brazilian samba roots.
Trio Brasilis, carries out a program in which the mixture between classical and popular music is assured. It is an event that can not to be missed. The concert will take place next Thursday, on September 1st, in the Brazilian embassy at 19.00.
This is a particularly rich cultural approach mainly among European classics and Brazilian sounds through a different way of making music, which will not leave any of the listeners indifferent.
