Deutsche Telekom Foundation provides support to the education of young people through the Deutsche Telekom Foundation
July 06th, 2016The Deutsche Telekom Foundation is a non-profit organisation founded in 2003, it works to improve education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics in Germany.
As one the largest German foundations, it focuses its operation actions in five different directions: Early education, Lessons and more, Teacher training, Talent promotion and, finally, Impetus. The Foundation wishes to support education in all its forms, from elementary school education to the realization of projects conceived by gifted and talented students.
The Foundation cares about spreading education from the primary school age, providing an “initial impetus” through childcare facilities, modern learning materials and appropriate training measures. Because education does not mean only lessons, but also training, including extracurricular program both for students and for teachers: the latter being responsible for the future of these young people. Finally, the Foundation wants to produce highly talented students in order to enable them to apply for scholarships and such.
In these last years, the Foundation has already produced impressive results. For instance, about 9.1 million euros has been allocated for many project works in regions like North-Rhine Westphalia, Hesse and Saxony, and has participated in popular initiatives like that of the “Lerner von Ort”.
