On 23 May 2024, Mi Barrio, a place of meeting, celebration and reunion in Vienna, but above all a place where the homely warmth rooted in Latin American culture is displayed, hosted the musical event “Tango y Chamamé”. While Tango may sound familiar to many, the lesser known Chamamé is also an example of Argentinean Folk Music, born in the Northeastern Region of Argentina.

Four spectacular musicians, composers and performers came all the way from Buenos Aires to Europe to perform in a flawless concert, without error. From Rosario to Buenos Aires, then to Taiwan, all roads lead to Vienna. A concert full of emotions was guaranteed thanks to two instruments and four different sounds. The four musicians, Diego Collatti (piano) and Algy Wu (bandoneon), also known as Duo ArTA; Noelia Sinkunas, (piano) and Milagros Caliva (bandoneon), entertained the audience with wonderful popular music, that they will carry with them wherever they go.

The event was organised as part of the Summer Culture Festival 2024 by MACHI Kulturmanagement, a company with twenty years of experience in the management of cultural events, in collaboration with Mi Barrio Vienna, with the kind support of the Argentine Embassy in Vienna and Cultura Latina and Austrian Culture.
