Spanish Embassy Organizes Competition for Spanish Artists in Germany
May 07th, 2014
News from Berlin - Cultural dissemination, cultural promotion and the support of Spanish artists are only some of the goals that the Embassy of Spain and its Cultural Office have set in order to practice Cultural Diplomacy in Berlin. The recent initiative brought to life by the Spanish Embassy’s Cultural Office, a competition organized for Spanish artists, is just another step in bringing Spanish culture closer to the German and International public in Berlin.
Spanish artists residing in Germany are given the chance to present their work in the Exhibition Hall of the Spanish Embassy. The exhibition will take place in August and September 2014. All the interested candidates can send or submit their projects to the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain by June 15th 2014. Each project must involve at least four artists: collectives, groups of artists, cultural managers or curators, no individual projects are accepted.
Artists are asked to come up with new and feasible ideas. Their project must not have been exhibited in Germany yet. All members of the candidate group should agree on the concept they are presenting and are free to choose their topic. The considered techniques are painting, photography, sculpture, video and installation. Buena suerte!
