SMAU, the Innovation Made in Italy

A Bridge between the Italian Startups Ecosystem and the Berlin Hub

On the 15th of June, the Italian Embassy in Berlin hosts SMAU, a leading event series dedicated to innovation in Italy.

SMAY is an independent and dynamic platform chosen every year by over 50,000 entrepreneurs, managers of companies and public administration in order to grow and catch up on issues such innovation, technology and digital. From 2011, in order to make the Italian companies more competitive, SMAU has created also a section completely dedicated to the innovation. 

This year, SMAU together with the Italian Trade Agency in Germany presents the second edition of the event in Berlin, dedicated to the innovation made in Italy. The event hosts an exhibition with innovative startups and SMEs representing “Made in Italy” innovation. The exhibitors show their technologies, products and services in several sectors like Agrifood, FinTech, Design and Fashion.

The event aims to create a bridge between the Italian startups ecosystem and the Berlin Hub, connecting Italian startups and German investors. 

The event occurs on two days. On the 15th of June, there is a networking cocktail at the Italian embassy, in which all participants of the event, investors and companies interested can attend from 7.30 pm.
On the 16th of June, there is a program of B2B conferences and business events at Palazzo Italiano from 10.00 am, where startup companies show their products and services to the investors and visitors. On the second day, panels with Italian and Berlin based investors, Startups, and Corporates are held.
