From tango to literature, visual arts and education, the program fosters intercultural exchange across Berlin and beyond
August 25th, 2025The Embassy of Argentina in Berlin launches a vibrant cultural agenda showcasing the diversity of argentine heritage through music, art, literature and education. The month’s program will open on September 6 with a guided visit in Spanish at the Humboldt Forum’s Ethnological Museum under the theme “Weavers of Life: Women, Power and Wisdom. ” The visit explored archaeological artifacts representing women’s roles in Meso- and South American cultures, highlighting their ancestral knowledge and influence.
Music took center stage mid-month with concerts by Miguel Levin, Ma. Magdalena González, and Ernesto Enrique Rodríguez at Taller D’Luis on September 12 and 13. Meanwhile, argentine pianist and singer Sara Chara embarked on her Tango Criollo Euro Tour 2025, performing in Berlin on September 11 and 12.
Beyond performances, the Embassy’s calendar spotlights broader cultural initiatives. An open call was launched for argentine artists to participate in the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia 2026, under the curatorial theme “In Minor Keys. ” Argentine visual artists were invited to submit proposals until September 25, ensuring Argentina’s continued presence on the world stage of contemporary art.
Complementing these highlights, community-driven initiatives also played a central role. The Club Fogata, a virtual argentine reading circle, continued its monthly gatherings where participants abroad share and discuss works by argentine authors. Meanwhile, the Orquesta Escuela San Juan e.V., a social project promoting music education for underprivileged children in Argentina, received renewed support through the Embassy’s outreach.
Through this rich and multifaceted agenda, the Embassy of Argentina in Berlin reaffirmed its mission to promote Argentina’s cultural identity abroad, strengthen ties with the diaspora, and contribute to intercultural dialogue across Germany and Europe.
