Prime Minister, Minister for Finance, Economic Growth, Job Creation and External Affairs

Allen Chastanet, born in 1960/1961, was sworn in as the 7th Prime Minister of Saint Lucia on June 7, 2016. He is married to Mrs. Raquel DuBoulay-Chastanet and they have two children.

Prior to his political career, Allen Chastanet worked as Vice President for Air Jamaica. From 2006 to 2011, he served as Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation and as a member of the Saint Lucian Senate. In 2013, Chastanet was elected head of the Union Workers Party, and in 2016 won the election as Prime Minister.
