Romanian Cultural Institute Berlin Presents the ‘Ensemble Images’ Quartet

News from Berlin - As part of the ‘Vila Walther’ classical music evenings, the Romanian Cultural Institute in Berlin presents Victor Nicoara (piano), Nora Hapca (violin), Manuela Mocanu (viola) and Aleisha Verner (violoncello), the founding members of the ‘Ensemble Images’ Quartet, in a musical premiere that reunites the four musicians. The program is divided into three different parts represented by three different works of the classical music geniuses W.A. Mozart, S. Rachmaninov and G. Fauré.

The Romanian pianist Victor Nicoara has completed his studies at the Royal College of Music in London and has performed at several famous concert halls of the world, such as the Berlin Philharmonic and Flagey Bruxelles. He is a member of the Mahler International Orchestra of Berlin and has won many international awards, such as Pro-Piano, Citta di Moncalieri and Arenzano-Genova. Nora Hapca is also a member of the Mahler International Orchestra of Berlin that represented the National University of Music from Bucharest at the International Music Festival for Students in Kyoto, Japan. She was a member of the ‘Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now’ Foundation and a Masters student of the University of Music in Köln.

Manuela Mocano is a graduate of the ‘George Enescu’ University of Arts, Iasi and a scholar of Trinity Music College in London. She is part of the London Symphony Orchestra, member of the National Young Orchestra from Holland and the Mahler International Orchestra from Berlin, as well as collaborator with the State Theatre in Kassel and the Deutsches Kammerorchester in Berlin.

Aleisha Verner was a student of the University of Michigan and scholar of the famous Juilliard School of Music in New York. She has played with the Staatskapelle Orchestra and in several  ensembles such as the New Juilliard Ensemble, The Prague Cello Quartet and the Graduate String Quartet from Illinois.
