Re:publica is one of the world's largest conferences on digital culture. During this event, media professionals, entrepreneurs and academics share their knowledge and discuss the future of the information society.

Starting as a cosy blogger meeting in 2007, Re:publica has since become a worldwide leading forum on the state and future of the digital culture. Internet activists, bloggers, creatives, artists, business people and company representatives meet for lectures and panel discussions focused on the topics of digital society, blogs, social media and network policy.

The motto of this year's Re:publica is "Who cares?": the strength of a society is determined by the quality of life of its weakest members - and those who care for them. Re:publica is the place with a stage for those people who otherwise have little or no voice and/or those who advocate for them. Re:publica offers a platform for new perspectives and approaches and aims to facilitate a colourful and diverse discourse which puts responsibility before profits and focuses on the potential of all those who stand up for and dedicate themselves to the common good. Our multifaceted digital society is threatened from many sides, and the intensifying crises require multidimensional answers. These answers are provided by the people who care.

This year’s edition will revolve around six main topics of interest, namely politics and society; media and public spheres; science and technology; economy and work; education and learning; art and culture.

In addition to the festival's 24 keynote speakers and a host of speakers and performers who will inspire audiences, Re:publica also offers visitors the opportunity to explore the main themes at a deeper level with a rich off-stage programme.
