The exhibition "HAPPY TOGETHER. Living differently in Denmark," presented by the Royal Danish Embassy, showcases seven innovative Danish architectural projects that redefine community living. These projects are a response to the evolving family structures in Denmark, where 37 different family types are now recognized, and a need for more sustainable living solutions. The designs focus on creating spaces that foster community while respecting individual privacy, and they do so with a smaller environmental footprint.

The exhibition highlights how Danish architects are leading the way in combining sustainability with diverse community living. From multi-generational wooden houses to apartments designed for single parents and repurposed farms turned into communal living spaces, these projects offer a glimpse into the future of housing. They provide ample opportunities for shared experiences while ensuring that personal space is not compromised.

This forward-thinking approach is not only essential for addressing the limited urban space and the planet's finite resources but also for accommodating the diverse family compositions of today. The exhibition is supported by the Danish Ministry of Culture, the Danish Arts Foundation, the Dreyers Fond Foundation, DSV Global Transport & Logistics, Carl Hansen & Søn, and Thors Design.the Realdania Foundation and the Danish Arts Foundation.
