News from Berlin. After a vacation in Vietnam, Agathe returns to her Parisian home in Mentreuil to begin a new chapter in her life after her husband’s death. However, things do not go exactly as she had planned: getting her life in gear proves to be much harder than finding a resting place for her late husband’s ashes. At the airport she meets an odd couple, a woman and her poet son looking for their luggage. These two strangers will help Agathe make sense of her new life when a sea lion comes to live in her apartment. The film is directed by Paris based Icelandic-American director Sloveig Anspach and won awards at the Venice Film Festival and Reykjavik International Film Festival. The screening will take place French Institute in Berlin on January 13 at 19:00.
