Promotion of Burkinabč Culture
The Burkina Electric Group visits the Embassy in Vienna

Friday April 26, 2024, Her Excellency Ambassador Maïmounata OUATTARA, assisted by Mr. Sié Rodrigue NOUFE, Second Advisor, received in audience the international musical group BURKINA ELECTRIC present in Vienna as part of an artistic creation residency.
The Group was led by Maï LINGANI, singer-artist and included Messrs. Abdoulaye KOUANDA, producer-singer-guitarist, Idrissa KAFANDO and Hugues Pierre ZOKO, choreographer-dancer artists.
Maï LINGANI thanked the Ambassador for the warm welcome given to them in Vienna and asked for her support in promoting Burkinabè culture in general and music in particular in Austria and in the countries under the jurisdiction of the 'Embassy.
In return, Madam Ambassador thanked the artists for the visit and reassured them of her commitment to promoting Burkinabè culture. She also praised the spirit of solidarity that prevailed between the Group and the artists participating in the Sababu Festival held in Vienna from April 18 to 21, 2024.
