Polish Embassy Organizes a Gala Concert in Berlin Philharmonics

News from Berlin - On May 4th, a gala concert will be organized by the Polish embassy at the Berlin Philharmonics to honor the 3rd of May in 1791, the Polish national holiday: the so-called ‘constitution day.’ The event also aims to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Polish EU membership. Honored guests are Prof. Monika Gütters, commissioner of Culture and Media ministry, and Bogdan Zdrojewski, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland.
The AUKSO orchestra from Tychy will be playing works from various Polish composers during the gala. Wojciech Kilars’s dramatic work “Orawa” and Andrzej Panufknis’s “Oldpolish Suite” will start the event, after that the “Violin-concert in fis-Moll” from Henryk Wieniawski and the “Dance” from Henryk Mikołaj Góreckis will follow after that. Anna Gutowska from the Conservatoire de Lausanne (Switzerland) will also play a solo part. The brilliant piece “Gliss Dance“ from the young composer Adam Wesołowski will close the night.
The gala event starts at 8 o’clock in the evening and the entry fees are 10 and 15 euros.
