The Embassy of Peru in Germany hosted the inauguration of the exhibition "Peruvian Impressions", by the Polish artist Maria Eleonora Hebisz, which took place on April 11 in the Maria Reiche room.

Through her work, the artist uses textures and colours to express her interpretation of the landscapes, people and reality in general that she met in her successive visits to Peru.

During her speech, the artist thanked the Embassy for the opportunity to exhibit her work. She also highlighted the diversity of landscapes, the characteristics of the climate in the Andes and Amazon, as well as the linguistic richness that led her to name her paintings in Quechua.

She said that she tries to use her paintings as a means to convey the feelings that the landscapes of the Andes, their people, their languages and customs created in her.

The Polish Maria Eleonora Hebisz is an artist graduated from the Faculty of Pedagogy and Art at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, with doctoral studies at the University of Lodz.

Likewise, the occasion allowed the Embassy to promote Peruvian gastronomy with a sample offered by the enterprise of the national chef, Víctor Mendívil.
