On 14 June, 2024, Philippine Ambassador Irene Susan B. Natividad participated in the second meeting of female ambassadors and Development / Foreign policy parliamentarians of the SPD parliamentary group at the German Bundestag.

Ambassador Natividad joined other women ambassadors in a dialogue with Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Svenja Schulze, Parliamentary State Secretary Barbel Kofler, and Members of the Bundestag (MdB) Gabriela Heinrich and Sanae Abdi on issues facing women and how to connect, support and empower women around the globe. During the “Networking Breakfast”, Federal Minister Svenja Schulze presented the #WeTheWomen campaign, aiming to draw public attention to the issue of gender equality and its importance for sustainable development.

Ambassador Natividad shared information on the upcoming International Conference on Women, Peace and Security that the Philippines is hosting in Manila in October to contribute to efforts in crafting strategies to overcome barriers to women's meaningful participation in peacemaking. Switzerland, Romania and Malaysia also shared initiatives and contributions to implement UN resolution 1325.  Ambassadors from African countries spoke about discrimination against women in their countries, conflicts and wars and impacts on women and girls, and teenage pregnancies.  Others spoke about laws enacted to protect women and the need to provide budgets to finance projects to empower and encourage greater participation of women in society.
