Opening of the German-Korean Technology Center in Dresden

On June 26, 2019, H.E. Ambassador Bum-goo Jong participated in the opening of the German-Korean Technology Center in Dresden.

The ceremony held in Dresden Universelle Werke on June 26, 2019 was celebrating the expansion of the joint research projects between Germany and Korea in the field of high technology. On the occasion of this ceremony, they also commemorated the MOU agreement between the Korea Institute for Material Science and the Fraunhofer Institute IKTS, the ILK of the Dresden University of Technology.

The participants in the event were Mr. Dirk Hilbert, Lord Mayor of Dresden, Mrs. Barbara Klepsch, Minister of State for Social Affairs and Consumer Protection of the Free State of Saxony, Mr. Werner Loscheider of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Dr. Hubert Jäger, Director of the ILK at the Technische Universität Dresden.

In his speech, H.E. Ambassador Bum-Goo Jong congratulated the close cooperation between Korea and Germany in research and technology and expressed the hope that the new German-Korean Technology Center in Dresden, with Changwon, will intensify exchanges between the two countries and serve as a symbol for increased cooperation in the field of advanced materials.
