Nordic Embassy Supports Scandinavian Spring Market in Berlin

News from Berlin - On Saturday May 10th the Scandinavian Spring Market will be organized by the German-Scandinavian Community School (Deutsch-Skandinavische Gemeinschaftsschule), in collaboration with various Scandinavian shops, cafés and cultural institutions in Berlin. The aim of the event is to bring a little piece of the colorful Nordic culture in the city, and give a little taste of Nordic heritage to visitors.
The German-Scandinavian Community School (DSG) is a private school based on the Scandinavian education system, where children get an impression of continuous curiosity and the love of learning. The lessons in the classrooms are bilingual where the students learn in German, Norwegian, Danish and Swedish. The DSG is the host and main organizer of the first Scandinavian Spring Market in Berlin Tempelhof, where they will give a little insight into their work.
The event will take place in DSG in Berlin-Tempelhof from 11:00 till 16:00 on May 10th. Various typical Scandinavian products will be offered, along with culinary delicacies from Scandinavia, children's activities, art and music. During the student, teacher, and parent programs, quick language courses will be given in Danish, Norwegian and Swedish. At the closure of the event, the school choir, the school band, and dancers will give a colorful performance. More information can be found at: www.dsg-schule.de.
