New Year’s Eve Party in Berlin
One million visitors will gather at Brandenburg GateDecember 29th, 2014
The party will take place across Tiergarten on Strasse des 17. Juni between the Brandenburg Gate and the Siegessäule (Victory Column). An international programme of live music from around the world along with party tents and world food stalls will ensure that everyone’s needs are met. Berliners, Germans and international friends will gather and rejoice.
The line-up includes national and international artists and this year highlights will include violinist David Garrett and mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins. Laith Al deen, Annett Louisan, Jimmy Somerville, David Hasselhoff, Tony Christia, Tokio Hotel, Howard Carpendale and Roland Kaiser make up just a few of the star-studded line up. Furthermore, the Russian State Ballet will be performing ahead of the midnight fireworks.
On December 30th, the mile-long party will begin at 12.00 with a pre-event. From 21.45 the show “Welcome 2015” will ensue. TV broadcasters from around the world will be on hand to capture every moment of Berlin’s biggest New Year’s party yet. These images will be transmitted to all corners of the globe.
The spectacular firework display will be the highlight of the evening as Berliners and visitors toast to the New Year and watch the remarkable show. Parties will then continue into the early hours of the morning.
Entries to the party area are: Ebertstraße/Scheidemannstraße, Ebertstraße/Behrenstraße, Yitzhak-Rabin-Straße, Bellevueallee/Kleiner Stern, Straße des 17. Juni/Großer Stern. Berlin is expecting a large amount of people and so it is best to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
